The renovation project in an ambassador’s residence transforms a former bedroom into a functional, modern kitchen that harmonizes tradition and innovation. Drawing inspiration from conversations with the client, the design embraces an overall bright aesthetic, enriched with contrasting elements to evoke a contemporary interpretation of traditional Korean materiality. A touch of accent color adds character, creating a space that feels both dynamic and inviting.
Lighting plays a pivotal role in the design, ensuring ample brightness for all culinary tasks while incorporating options for cozy mood lighting, perfect for intimate gatherings or quiet evenings. The resulting space blends functionality with cultural nuance, offering a kitchen that is as beautiful as it is practical.
