Functionality

Functionality
Functional planning of space is first and foremost important. I can make any space look great, but if it is not organized in a way that best addresses the functional requirements the job is not done well. In order to get the schematic layout of any project right I get into the details of what it is the clients business does, who the employees are, and what is required for each to do their job to the best of their ability.
The programming phase is where we delve into the details of how you operate. It is the time to ask a lot of questions to ensure that I know how the space needs to function. I want to know about the products or services that are offered, how many staff need to be accomodated and what their job entails, who they work closely with and what level of privacy they require, the equipment and/or tools needed, etc., want to know what areas of space the clients experience.
A productive and dynamic space is born via a method of exploration, brainstorming, processing, filtering, and filtering again.
